Alexis Mac Allister has four goals to his name so far this campaign.

Alexis Mac Allister says that him and his teammates are sure that Roberto De Zerbi’s style of play can help them continue their good start to the season.

Despite back-to-back defeats, Albion are still seventh in the table ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest tonight.

“Everyone is convinced about what we are doing,” Albion’s No.10 said. “We are trying to build up from the back, to be vertical and score goals. We were a little bit unlucky in the last game where we could have scored.

“We are really convinced about the idea, about what we want to do. We will stick to it.

De Zerbi's Forest press conference

“We need time to get into Roberto's idea. I think we are doing it well but we've got a lot to improve, so we’re looking forward to Tuesday.”

Mac Allister was excited to work with the Albion head coach from the off.

“From the very beginning I liked him. He texted me when I was with the [Argentina] national team and he told me we are going to enjoy playing with the ball – always with the ball, and that's a good message.

“As players, we always want to be on the ball, to keep possession. We really like the idea and are really looking forward to tonight where winning is the most important thing.”
