Everyone at Brighton & Hove Albion was saddened to hear that Tottenham Hotspur fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone passed away, aged 61.
Our thoughts are with Gian Piero’s family and everyone at Tottenham at this time.
At Saturday’s game against Tottenham at the Amex, players on both sides will wear black armbands and there will be a minute of applause before kick-off to remember Gian Piero.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference today, Albion head coach Roberto De Zerbi said, "We are very sad for his loss. Many members of my staff knew Gian Piero and we are sorry for his family, Antonio [Conte] and Tottenham. It was very sad news for everyone who works in our world."
