Kayleigh Green's Wales will look to secure their place at the World Cup.

Albion pair Kayleigh Green and Megan Walsh will be hoping they can help their nations book places in next year’s World Cup during the forthcoming international break.

Walsh’s Republic of Ireland face an away play-off against either Scotland or Austria, who reached the quarter-finals of this summer’s Euros, on October 11, with the winners going to New Zealand and Australia next summer.

Green’s Wales take on Bosnia & Herzegovina in Cardiff on Thursday and if they win they will face Switzerland in Zurich with a finals place up for grabs.

Only two of the three European play-off winners definitely qualify for the finals and is decided on results in qualifying groups. The third-placed team will face inter-confederation play-offs in New Zealand next February involving nine nations, three of whom will go through to the finals.

Julia Zigiotti has been recalled by Sweden for their friendlies against Spain in Cordoba on Friday and France in Gothenburg on the 11th with Albion team-mate Emma Kullberg also in the squad. Sweden have already qualified for the World Cup as have Elisabeth Terland’s Norway. They play friendlies against Brazil in Oslo on October 7 and Holland in Den Haag four days later.

Poppy Pattinson and Jorja Fox will again link up with England under-23s for their training camp, which includes friendlies against Norway at St George’s Park and Sweden in Falkenberg, while Katie Robinson is included and is also on standby for the senior squad’s friendlies against United States at Wembley next Friday and Czech Republic at the Amex on October 11.

Megan Curran and Ella Humphrey will link up with Wales under-19s for a UEFA qualifying tournament in Hungary between October 3-11 involving games against the hosts, Italy and Serbia.
