Alexis Mac Allister fired in from the penalty spot to halve the deficit at Craven Cottage.

Alexis Mac Allister admitted Albion didn’t find the levels that had enabled them to make such a good start after they suffered their first defeat of the campaign.

The Argentinian’s second successful penalty away from home was in vain as under-par Albion went down 2-1 to Fulham on Tuesday.

“It was nice to score a goal but at the same time it meant nothing because we lost,” reflected Alexis.

"Before Fulham we’d been nine games unbeaten which is a good record, but we didn’t play as well as we can to maintain it.

“The first half was not good, we weren’t at our level. When you come to places like Fulham have to be at 100% and we weren’t.

“We then gave away two cheap goals and it was always going to be difficult from there.”

Albion will bid to bounce back on Sunday when we take on Leicester City at the Amex.

“We don’t think too much about the league table, we have to go match by match, so we will rest and recover then prepare to be back at the Amex on Sunday in front of our fans.”
