Graham Potter's team have taken four points from their opening two Premier League games.

Graham Potter felt his side couldn’t have been much better in their 0-0 draw with Newcastle on Saturday.

The only thing that was missing was a winning goal, with Solly March, Joel Veltman and Pascal Gross all going close, but Potter was delighted overall with his team’s efforts.

“The performance was fantastic, and although we should have won we’re incredibly proud and we’re very positive about how we played. We’re playing against a top team, you can see the amount of points Newcastle have got since Eddie [Howe] has gone there. I thought our performance was fantastic.

“Credit to their goalkeeper Nick Pope, we just missed that little bit in front of goal but apart from that we were excellent."

Asked about his side's start to the campaign, Potter added,: We will take that, [four points] away at Manchester United and home here.

"We knew how tough it was going to be against Newcastle, the way they set up, how dangerous they are on the counter-attack with the pace and power we have. We limited them to not too many chances and created some opportunities ourselves. It was a really exciting performance.”
