Robert Sanchez likes the look of Julio Enciso and Deniz Undav, who have joined the first-team squad this summer.

Enciso arrived from Paraguayan side Libertad last month while Undav signed for us in January from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and spent the rest of the campaign on loan with the Belgian League runners-up before heading to Sussex for pre-season.

“Julio has been really good on the pitch; he has power, he looks quite consistent and is quite a pacey guy,” Sanchez said. “I think he has come into the team and adapt quite well.

Julio Enciso arrived from Libertad at the beginning of the transfer window.

“He doesn’t really speak English yet, so us Spanish boys have given him a hug and got him involved. But he seems happy here, looks comfortable and is training at a really good level now.

“Deniz looks really good in training, although we’re still in pre-season so we're building. But he looks sharp and more importantly looks comfortable in the environment.

“He has adjusted really quick to the team and to the other players and he’s a really good guy. So I think he’s going fit really well into the team.”

Rob Sanchez kept 11 clean sheets in the Premier League last season.

Rob wants to see our new signings help build on the record Premier League finish of ninth last season.

“Every year the club is trying to improve. We know how good it is to be at the top end of the Premier League – we were working towards that more consistently.

“Last season I think we could have done even better, but it was still the best season in Brighton’s history, so we're happy with that but this season we’re trying to do better. We want to score more goals, be more consistent and win more games.”
