Andrew Crofts's team had a week-long training camp in Spain.

Andrew Crofts’s under-21s rounded off their pre-season trip to Spain with a friendly against Hull City on Saturday.

A second-half Tyler Smith double put the Tigers in control, before Cam Peupion grabbed a late consolation goal with a fine strike from the edge of the box.

James Beadle denied Smith midway through the first half smartly, before Jack Spong fired into the side-netting and Hull keeper David Robson gathered Zak Emmerson’s headed effort.

A much changed Albion in the second half saw Killian Cahill deny Mallik Wilks and Harry Wood, but he could do nothing about Smith tapping home in the 69th minute after denying Randell Williams.

Hull had their second with just under ten to play when Jevon Mills found Smith with a smart ball over the top and the striker calmly rolled it past Cahill.

Albion pushed forward looking for a way back into the game and managed to halve the deficit after smart work on the edge of the City box was rewarded, as Peupion worked a yard of space before curling into the bottom right corner.

Albion starting XI: Beadle, Kavanagh, Offiah, Furlong, Turns, Miller, Spong, Leonard, Moran, Baker-Boaitey, Emmerson.
