Veatriki Sarri joins Albion on two-year deal

Greece international signs following Birmingham City departure.

The Greece international joins us on a two-year deal.

We are delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Veatriki Sarri on a two-year contract.

The 24-year-old joins after departing Birmingham City, where she spent 18 months.

“Veatriki adds good quality to our forward options,” said women’s first team manager Hope Powell.

“In our three games against Birmingham last season I was really impressed with her, she stood out.

Veatriki Sarri has joined Albion from Birmingham City.

“She’s got a wealth of domestic experience and has played for her country. She’s looking forward to this challenge and we’re pleased to have her with us.”

The Greece international scored three league goals last season for Birmingham, as well as the Blues’ Goal of the Season winner for her effort against Sunderland in the Vitality FA Cup.

“Brighton is a club with great ambitions, I am really excited to be a part of the club,” she said.

Veatriki Sarri has signed a two-year contract.

“From the first time I spoke with Hope, I got a good understanding of where the club wants to go.

“Having played against Brighton, you know they’re a very organised team. It’s an honour to be here.”

Vea has also previously played for Leeds United, Fylde and Sheffield United.
