Enock Mwepu made 18 Premier League appearances last season, scoring twice and assisting on five ocassions.

Enock Mwepu is sure that players already at the club can make the step-up to fill the gap left by Yves Bissouma.

The Mali international made the move to Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the transfer window.

Mwepu believes the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo and himself can be the players to fill the void.

“Yves Bissouma has been a reliable player for Brighton for years, he has been amazing,” Enock said. “He has shown how talented he is and I am pleased that he has made this big move.

Mwepu: I always dream big

“Obviously we will miss him but Moises, Alexis and more are capable of handling that position and we are ready.

“It’s an exciting time as well, because we’re a young team that is talented, that can compete. It will be good competition for us midfielders, but I am excited that we can work again together.”

The 24-year-old suffered a few injuries last season, but reflected positively on his first year on the south coast.

The Albion midfielder is also the captain of Zambia's national men's team.

“These are exciting times. I have been at the club for a year now, I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. It’s been a great, great year. I was able to help the team, but I had a lot of setbacks as well, so it was a mixture of emotions. For me, I am really happy and excited just to be a Brighton player.

“I feel great now, strong and fit. I am praying this season I will be consistent and play as many games as possible, that’s my target.”
