Emma Koivisto and Ellie Brazil have departed the club.

We can confirm that Ellie Brazil and Emma Koivisto have left the club after their contracts came to an end on Thursday.

Brazil, 23, joined the club in 2018 and leaves having made 56 appearances.

Head coach Hope Powell said, “Ellie has been with us for a long time, so naturally it’s sad to say goodbye. She’s been a good player for us, as well as showing real resolve to come back from a serious knee injury and become an important member of the squad again.

“We thank Ellie for her contributions during her four years here and wish her the best for the future.”

Koivisto, 27, joined from Swedish side Hacken in January 2021, becoming a regular as we finished that season in a club record sixth spot that season.

“Emma came in and made a real impact for us in the second half of the 2020/21 season, helping us finish that year in a really positive way," Powell continued. "She was important for us again last season, playing her part in some big results.

“Like Ellie, we thank her for everything she has done here and wish her the best of luck going forward.”
