Sam Packham, Cam Peupion and Matt Everitt have signed new contracts with Albion.

We’re pleased to announce that under-21 players Matt Everitt, Cameron Peupion and Sam Packham have signed new contract extensions.

Packham and Everitt have penned new one-year deals, while Peupion’s contract runs until 2024.

Packham, 20, spent the second half of last season on loan in the Republic of Ireland with Bohemians, where he made six appearances as they finished sixth in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.

Under-23s head coach Andrew Crofts said, “It was great for Sam to be able to test himself in a different environment, as well as a different country. That will have given him a real opportunity to see what’s required to make the step up to a men’s first team and it was good to see him make a few appearances for Bohemians.”

19-year-old Peupion featured regularly for the under-23s last season, making 25 appearances and scoring four times.

Crofts added, “Cam made a really good start to life with us last season, after doing well for the under-18s the year before. Now he’s had that year of learning about what level is expected from him, we’re excited to see him step up in the squad and hopefully take another step in his development.”

Everitt, 19, made just one appearance for Albion under-23s last season after missing the majority of the campaign through injury.

“Last season was a really difficult one for Matt with injury, so he didn’t get a decent opportunity to show what he can do at our level,” Crofts continued. “We’re hopeful that his injuries are behind him now and he can focus fully on his football.

“I am looking forward to working with all three players this coming season.”
