Littlehampton will be backed by around 7,000 fans on Sunday.

We’re delighted to have helped Littlehampton prepare for Sunday’s FA Vase final at Wembley when they take on Newport Pagnell.

For the last two Thursdays the Golds’ players have been using the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre at Lancing, an experience described as ‘unbelievable’ by striker George Gaskin.

He said, “It’s been brilliant. Not many people get to play on such good facilities so it was unbelievable and it felt like being a professional footballer.

“No one was allowed to come near us, there was security there and people taking us to the pitches, it was absolutely perfect and we can’t thank them enough.”

Littlehampton used Lancing to get ready for last Sunday’s League Cup final against Newhaven which they won 3-0, to add to the Southern Combination League title they have already secured in a memorable season.

“It definitely helped us when we won the cup final last Sunday and hopefully going back there again on Thursday will help us with our preparations for the Vase final,” added George.

The game kicks off at 12.15 and is followed by the FA Trophy final between Wrexham and Bromley.

Using Lancing was also extra special for team-mate Liam Humphreys. “For me as a Brighton fan to be able to train and play on a surface like that gives us an insight on what it will be like to play at Wembley,” he said.

“It means a lot to everyone and the town itself is going to have a great day out. I hope everyone has fun and we can do a great job on the pitch.”

Welsh fans will be sharing the same end at Wembley and have promised to get there early to support the first Sussex side to reach the Vase final.
