We are pleased to report that under-23 players James Furlong and Toby Bull have signed new one-year contracts.

James joined the club from Shamrock Rovers in 2019. A Republic of Ireland under-20 international, he has progressed to the under-23s, making 24 appearances this season.

He said, “It was a tough start for me when I joined the club and moved away from home for the first time, but I have adjusted now and I’m really enjoying my time here.

“I am really happy with how my season has gone and I feel like I have learned a lot.

Toby Bull joined Albion as a ten-year-old.

“There are lads in the under-23s who have made the step up to the first team so I know if I can prove to the coaches I am ready for that first team exposure, then I will get my chance.”

Toby joined the club as a ten-year-old from Worthing. He has spent the majority of this season on loan with Isthmian League club Merstham, making 31 appearances.

He said, “I have been here quite a while and close to the club while it’s made a lot of progress. With Graham Potter in charge I feel there is a pathway for young players.

“Rob Sanchez has had his opportunity and is a role model for young goalkeepers in the academy, so we’re all driven to put everything in so we can earn our chance.”
