The Brighton & Hove Albion Golf Day saw more than 70 people take part in a day of golfing, dining, and fundraising at Mannings Heath golf course.
Players in teams of four took on the 18-hole course at Mannings Heath; a gorgeous 500-acre estate tucked away in the Horsham countryside.
Players at the event were also joined on the course by Albion legends Glenn Murray and Guy Butters.
The event, which was generously sponsored by Linda and Tony Bloom, raised more than £40,000 to help fund Albion in the Community’s life-changing work across Sussex.
AITC’s disability football programme was a key focus at the golf day. Martin Perry, Brighton & Hove Albion Honorary Vice President and AITC chair of trustees, spoke at the event about the important work of AITC’s disability team.
The money raised from the golf day can fund over 2,100 disability football sessions, allowing 820 people to play weekly inclusive football sessions for a whole year.
AITC’s first disability football session was held 25 years ago in 1997, and the programme has now grown to provide inclusive football opportunities for more than 1,000 people.
