Leandro Trossard's attacking ability was evident in both creation and conversion of chances this season.

Leo Trossard had a special word of praise for two of Albion’s other goalscorers after they thumped Manchester United 4-0.

The Belgian put the seal on a wonderful Albion occasion with the fourth goal and his eighth of the season after Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella had earlier scored their first goals for the club.

Marc Cucurella scored his first goal in an Albion shirt.

Trossard said, “I am really pleased for Moises and Cucu. They have been brilliant for us. Cucu is so good. I play close to him on the pitch and he has such a drive, he wins duels and is good on the ball. He’s been a really good signing for us.”

The Belgian international was not surprised Albion enjoyed their biggest win in the Premier League after picking up three wins in their previous five games to climb to ninth with two games to go.

“It was a perfect night for us,” said Trossard. “The confidence of everyone is high, we’re in a good moment and you can see that on the pitch.

Alexis Mac Allister and Leandro Trossard celebrate Albion going 4-0 up against Manchester United.

“This was the day at home where it all came right for us. Rob [Sanchez] made some saves but we could have scored more goals and you could see that everyone is enjoying their football at the moment. Hopefully we can end the season strongly.

“We know our quality and we’ve been dominant in a lot of games. We showed that on the pitch and it fully deserved that we won 4-0. You don’t beat a top side like Manchester United 4-0 every week so we really enjoyed it in the dressing room and I’m sure the fans did too.”
