Lee Cooper will join the club's executive team this June.

Lee, who previously sat on the board at West Bromwich Albion, has been appointed as the club's new finance director.

Deputy chairman and chief executive Paul Barber said, "We are pleased to welcome Lee to the club, and he will take on responsibility and oversee the club’s financial affairs from June this year.

"Lee has a great deal of football and Premier League experience from his time with West Bromwich Albion and we are pleased to welcome him to the club."

Lee studied mathematics at university in Leicester and qualified as an accountant at a accountancy firm Birmingham. He gained a wide range of experience before joining West Brom as financial controller in 2016.

Promoted to finance director at the Hawthorns, he took responsibility for all day-to-day finance activities of the club and became a trustee of the club’s charitable arm - the Albion foundation.

Lee said, “I have always respected and admired how Tony Bloom, Paul Barber, the directors and the staff here have run the club, it’s hugely impressive and because of that I always had one eye on any opportunities to join the club.

“I can’t wait to get started and I am really looking forward to contributing towards the long-term aim of establishing the club as a regular finisher in the top ten of the Premier League and top four of the WSL, as well as championing the amazing work of Albion in the Community.”
