Graham Potter hopes to see Pascal Gross extend his stay with Albion beyond the end of the current season.
The 30-year-old joined Albion at the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign – Albion’s first back in the top flight – and has made 147 Premier League appearances.
In that time he has contributed the most Premier League assists in an Albion shirt (26), the third best of any German in the division.
Gross’s contract with the club comes to an end in June, but Potter hopes to see the midfielder stick around for a few more seasons.
“He has been an important player during our time in the Premier League. He has played a huge role in that,” said Potter.

“Pascal is an important player in the group. I have really enjoyed working with him and hopefully we can look forward to more seasons [together].”
In the immediate term though Potter’s focus is on this afternoon’s opponents Arsenal.
Albion sit ten points clear of the bottom three, with the head coach keen for his men to focus on climbing the table.
“From our perspective we’ve got to try and look forward, at our own performance and try and get points. You can’t worry too much about what the others might do because that might mean you’re looking over your shoulder and not focussing on what we need to do, which is to focus on our performance.
“The Norwich game was a good performance from us and we need to build on that in the Arsenal game.”
