Still time to get your tickets for anniversary dinner

Join us on April 22 to celebrate 25th anniversary of Hereford and last game at the Goldstone.

There is still time for you to conform your attendance at the dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the last-day drama at Hereford and the final match at the Goldstone.

Former manager Steve Gritt, who led Albion to safety in that memorable 1996-97 season, will be guest of honour at this special event which takes place on Friday 22 April at the Amex.

Among the other guests are several of the players who kept Albion in the Football League on that unforgettable afternoon at Edgar Street including Gary Hobson, Ross Johnson, Kerry Mayo, Jeff Minton, Paul McDonald, Mark Ormerod, Peter Smith and Stuart Tuck, as well as Gritt’s No.2 Jeff Wood and physio Malcolm Stuart.

They will be joined by a host of other Albion legends including former managers Chris Cattlin, Barry Lloyd, Alan Mullery and Dean Wilkins.

Several players spanning the last 50 years of the club’s history will be there including Russell Bromage, John Byrne, Ian Chapman, John Keeley, Steve Penney, Andy Rollings, John Templeman and Gary Williams as well as former chairman Dick Knight.

Alan Mullery managed Albion from 1976-81, before returning for the 1986/87 campaign.

The event will be hosted by MyAlbion TV’s Richard Reynolds and will include interviews with those present, as they recall memories of their time at the club.

The 1996-97 squad will be guests of the club at the Premier League home game against Southampton on Sunday April 24.

Tickets cost £45 and include a three-course dinner:

Starters

Chicken and herb terrine, avocado puree, baby rocket, pickled shallot

Smoked applewood and leek potato croquette, honey roast fig, baby chard, pine nut salad (v)

Roasted pepper terrine, avocado puree, baby rocket, pickled shallot (Vgn, V, GF, NF)

Mains

Braised beef short rib, pomme puree, heritage carrot, red wine and port reduction

Vegetarian parmesan and herb polenta, goat’s cheese bonbon, charred broccoli, blistered baby vine tomatoes and herb dressing (v)

Desserts

Sticky toffee pudding - with vanilla ice cream

Vanilla infused tropical fresh fruit salad (Vgn, V, GF, NF)
