Albion players head off on international duty

13 involved for their countries.

Thirteen Albion players will be on duty for their countries in the next women’s international break.

After making her Republic of Ireland debut earlier this year, keeper Megan Walsh will be hoping to make her first World Cup start in the qualifier against Sweden in Gothenburg on 12 April. Midfielder Megan Connolly is also included in Ireland’s squad, and they could come up against team-mate Emma Kullberg.

The defender has been included in Sweden’s squad for their camp which also includes a qualifier in Georgia on 7 April.

Three Albion players are heading to Spain for a training camp with England under-23s. Ellie Brazil, Maya Le Tissier and Katie Robinson, who is currently on loan with Charlton, will face Netherlands in two friendlies.

Finland’s Emma Koivisto will also be on World Cup duty against Slovakia and Georgia while Kayleigh Green is included in Wales’ squad for their qualifiers against France and Kazakhstan.

Josie Longhurst has been named as standby while Megan Curran and Ella Humphrey are in the Wales under-19s squad for three European Championship qualifiers against England, Belgium and Iceland.

Lea Cordier has been selected in Belgium under-23s’ squad for their friendly double-header against France.

Finally, Lee Guemmin will be linking up with South Korea for two friendlies against Vietnam.
