Megan Connolly says this Sunday’s game against Manchester United will be a good gauge of how far Albion have progressed.
Albion have climbed to sixth spot in the division and would surpass their record points tally in the top-tier if they can make it four wins out of the last five games.
“It’s been tough when we’ve faced Manchester United away in the past, but it’s a big game for both teams,” the Republic of Ireland international said. “United are going for the Champions League spots but we know if we play to our strengths we have a good chance of getting a positive result.

“It’s a good game to see where we’re at.”
The 25-year-old midfielder has been impressed with Albion’s performances against some of the big hitters in the WSL, which she reckons reflects their raised standards this campaign.
“There’s been a big shift this year with the expectations and standards from within the team. Results haven’t necessarily meant that much to us, we’ve been really focussed on performances and we know that if we could deliver that then we’d be taking points regularly.
“We’ve played tough teams like Arsenal and Chelsea, but against even them the performances were strong and gave us something to build on.”
