Hope Powell has urged Albion to finish the season strongly as they look to set new club records in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Albion moved back up to sixth after goals from Aileen Whelan and Inessa Kaagman sealed a 2-0 victory over West Ham United on Sunday.
It moved them onto 25 points, two fewer than the record they set last season when they also finished sixth, which was the best finish in the club’s WSL history.

Victory from one of their four remaining games would not only set a new points record but take them to another club best of nine wins in a WSL campaign.
“We had a blip earlier in the season but the girls have fought back well, and we really want to finish the season strongly,” she said.
“The incentive for us is to finish sixth or even fifth, which would be a fantastic achievement because the standard of the league has definitely gone up this season.
“In every game we try to be better than the last one and if you put in a good performance it gives you the best chance of winning.
“It’s not always the case but as a squad we’re still growing and learning and doing better at managing games.
“We have done that better in the last few weeks and that’s got to be the challenge for the last four games, to be consistent in our performance levels and see where it takes us.”
Albion have home games against bottom club Birmingham City (April 23) and Everton (May 8) to come as well as trips to the two Manchester teams, with their game against United at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday (12pm).
