Joel Veltman played the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 win over Watford on Saturday.

Joel Veltman says Albion will adopt a fearless approach when they try to maintain their best run of form in the Premier League against Manchester United on Tuesday.

The Dutch defender helped his side keep their first clean sheet since Boxing Day in the 2-0 win at Watford which extended the unbeaten top-flight sequence to a club record seven games.

Veltman accepts that United at Old Trafford, even when Ralf Rangnick’s side aren’t in brilliant form, will still be an extremely tough test but says Albion can approach it with confidence.

He said, “We’re on a good run at the moment and we have some nice games coming up. We’ll reflect on Saturday’s win at Watford and then focus on getting a result at Old Trafford.

Joel Veltman congratulates Neal Maupay and Tariq Lamptey for their roles in the first goal against the Hornets.

“We play all our games with no fear, and I think it’s important to do that whoever the opponent is. We know Manchester United have got some great players, but they are suffering a little bit at the moment and not where they want to be so hopefully we get a result there.”

It was a happy away dressing room after Albion claimed their fourth win on the road at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

“We were buzzing,” added Veltman. “It was a tough game but we controlled the first half. We had to suffer for 15-20 minutes in the second half but then we got the second from Adam Webster and that was nice for us.

“A clean sheet was obviously good too. I think we did well and they only created one real opportunity. And of course we were delighted for Webby. The passion he showed when he celebrated the goal in front of our fans was unbelievable.”
