Billy Arce is back at the club after the end of his loan spell in Ecuador.

Billy Arce is back with Albion following the conclusion of his loan spell with Liga de Quito as the domestic season in Ecuador ended in December.

The midfielder has had a prolonged break having played 64 games over a two-season loan spell in Quito that also included ten goals and ten assists.

The 23-year-old will initially link up with the under-23 squad as he goes through his own personal pre-season period.

Pathway development manager David Weir commented, “Billy had a good loan spell at Quito. He picked up an injury midway through the last season which was unfortunate, but he managed to play in the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores.

“He was successful while he was in the team which is pleasing and we look at the overall loan as a positive one for him.”

Billy, who signed for Albion in 2018 from Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valla, joined Quito in August 2020, having previously been on loan with Spanish club Extremadura UD and CS Semelec, as well as CS Barcelona back in his native Ecuador.
