Katie Robinson will spend the second half of the season on loan with Charlton Athletic.

Midfielder Katie Robinson has signed a new contract with Albion until June 2024.

The 19-year-old joined Hope Powell's side at the beginning of the 2020/21 campaign after leaving Bristol City. She missed last season with a knee injury but has become a regular member of Albion’s WSL squad and made her full debut against Leicester City earlier this month. She has made ten appearances this season in all competitions.

Last October she was called into the England under-23 squad and scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Belgium in a friendly.

Robinson will spend the rest of the season on loan with Championship club Charlton.

Head coach Hope Powell said, “We’re delighted Katie is committing herself to what we’re trying to achieve as a club by signing this contract.

“She recovered well from what was a bad injury last season and she is improving with the more game time and experience she has.

“By going to Charlton she will get regular minutes whilst continuing to train and develop with us. We’re looking forward to seeing how she progresses.”
