Pre-Match Brief: Chelsea

Latest guidance on Covid status checks, mobile ticketing, and travel for anyone attending Tuesday evening's game at the Amex.

Mobile ticketing note for Chelsea fixture - Your season ticket pass should update automatically to the next available fixture to you – we are aware that this update initially resulted in the Spurs game showing, however this has now been updated to Chelsea (please see below for further details). Please note even if the wrong game is displayed, as long as you haven't shared, upgraded or moved you season ticket for this Chelsea fixture, the pass will still work.

Travel to the Amex

Full travel news for the Albion v Chelsea game can be found here – please carefully plan your journey and remember to allow ample time for entry. We would ask fans to arrive early if they can.

The club’s matchday travel scheme will be in operation for this game with access to bus, train and park-and-ride services included within the ticket price.

Our limited additional parking can only be booked in advance (no cash sales on the day).

Arriving at the Amex 

We will still be required to carry out our usual stadium entry and security checks ahead of you accessing the turnstile.

We respectfully ask that you do not bring bags to the stadium. If you do so, the maximum permitted size will be A4 (297mm x 210mm). There are no exceptions to the policy and there are no bag storage facilities at the stadium. Any bags left outside the stadium will be removed and disposed of.

  • Dicks Bar will open from at 5pm
  • Hospitality & 1901 Club areas will open at 5.30pm
  • Turnstiles will open at 6pm
  • Stadium Store will open at 4pm (closes at kick-off and re-opens after final whistle until 10.15pm)

Covid Pass checks

As part of the Government’s Plan B response to Covid in the UK - The Premier League now require fans attending matches at the Amex to:

  • Provide when spot checked an accepted form of COVID-19 certification with matching photographic ID (all fans aged 18 or over)
  • Complete a pre-match online declaration COVID form
  • Wear a face-covering when moving around internal areas or busy areas of the stadium and on public transport to and from the stadium.

All accepted Covid Status’s listed below must be accompanied by ID that matches (all fans in either home or away areas aged 18 or over).

Accepted forms of Covid Status

Not accepted

NHS Covid Pass – digital, saved in your Apple or Google mobile phone wallet showing double vaccination record or medically exempt pass

Any pass that does not match the photo ID.

NHS Covid Pass – digital, generated by the NHS App on your mobile phone showing double vaccination record or medically exempt pass.

All screen shots or other image/s of any kind pertaining to show the NHS Covid Pass or NHS communication.

NHS text message or email confirming a negative lateral flow test or a negative PCR test in the previous 48 hours

The card given to you at the vaccination centre that holds your dates of vaccinations

Covid Pass Letter – printed letter for people who are double vaccinated

Single vaccination records and Self-certified exemptions.

You should also continue to ensure that you follow government guidelines, and you should not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste).

Pre-Match Online Covid Declaration

Fans coming to the game must fill in a pre-match online declaration form before they arrive at the stadium. For match ticket holders (for home and away matches) this will need to be done ahead of each game they wish attend; season ticket holders will only need to do this once to cover the season for their seat at the Amex, but will need to complete for any guests match by match or away matches.

Fill in your declaration in good time. For match ticket purchases this should be completed at the point of purchase.

1901 Club members, the lead booker will be required to make this declaration on behalf of their party. 

Face Coverings and behaviour

We would urge everyone to continue to use their common sense to protect themselves and also fellow supporters and our staff from COVID-19.

  • you must wear a face mask in confined areas such as the concourses and in congested areas such as queues. We would also strongly recommend they’re worn inside the stadium bowl at all times. 
  • you must wear a face-covering when travelling to and from the match by public transport
  • maintain social distancing where you are able to do so 

Mobile digital ticketing at the Amex

Please don’t forget to charge your phone before you leave for the Amex and download your tickets to your phone's wallet.

Have your pass ready before you get to the turnstiles.

Please ensure you have updates enabled in Google Pay / Apple Wallet, for information on this, see the Apple/Android sections online. After updates have been enabled, the pass will update but this can take a while.

  • For iPhones, go to your Apple Wallet and onto the season pass. In the corner, there will be a circle with three dots, click this and on the next page make sure "Automatic Updates" is enabled, then pull down on the page to refresh/update the pass
  • For Android, In Google Pay, click the 3 lines in the corner, and go to Settings. Towards the bottom enable "Updates about your passes"
