Graham Potter believes Moises Caicedo can play a part in the second half of the season after he was recalled from his loan spell with Belgian club Beerschot.
The head coach confirmed that Caicedo is in contention for a place in the squad for Friday’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace at the Amex.
The central midfielder signed for Albion in last year's winter transfer window and after making his debut in the Carabao Cup game against Cardiff in August he headed to Belgium.
But with Yves Bissouma playing for Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations and Enock Mwepu out for four weeks with a hamstring injury, Caicedo is back at the club.

“It’s been good to work with him again, he’s an exciting young player,” said Potter.
“He is an intelligent player who is technically good and can deal with the box-to-box nature of midfield play.”
Caicedo, 20, played 12 games for Beerschot but has also played nine World Cup qualfiers for Ecuador since the start of the season and scored against Chile in November.
“He has played games for his club and country and that experience has been invaluable for him,” added Potter.
“It was right at the time for him to go on loan with the amount of football he has played for Beerschot and his country. He’s had a good loan but now we’re looking forward to him contributing to the group going forward.”
