Evan Ferguson has six goals in Premier League 2 so far this campaign.

Albion under-23s will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins when they return to Premier League 2 action on Friday against Leeds United, kick-off 7pm.

Andrew Crofts’ side travel to West Yorkshire following last Saturday’s thrilling victory over Crystal Palace, which saw Evan Ferguson score a first-half brace as the Eagles were beaten 2-1.

PL2 Highlights: Albion 2 Crystal Palace 1

The win against Palace took Albion up to fourth in PL2, level on points with Arsenal and West Ham United above them and only four points behind leaders, Manchester City.

Leeds meanwhile are seventh having been promoted last season, but Crofts is not taking the league’s newcomers lightly – despite their 4-2 defeat against Everton last time out.

“They have had a good start.” Said Crofts. “They’ve certainly adapted to the league very well. They can be a really hard team to play against, they’ve got high energy and they really take it to the opposition – similar to their first team.

PJT Highlights: Forest Green 2 Albion 2 (5-3 on pens)

“It’s going to be a tough game but the group know what they’re going to face and we want to keep up our momentum from Palace and Forest Green before that.

“It was a really pleasing win and performance against Palace. First half we controlled and created plenty of chances, and then in the second half we had to show a different side to our game in terms of controlling large spells and playing attacking, free-flowing football, and then having that mindset and resilience to get through a tough period. It was really positive.

“We’ve now got another challenge ahead on Friday but it’s a contest we’re looking forward to, and one we’re hoping to win.”
