Shane Duffy punches the ground in frustration after missing a chance late on for Albion.

Shane Duffy admits Albion are disappointed that a dominant display against Arsenal didn’t yield three points.

The Republic of Ireland international was left to regret two opportunities – headers in each half that went narrowly wide – in the 0-0 draw at the Amex.

“That header at the end will haunt me! I should have scored in the first half as well, I am disappointed as I pride myself on it. I am trying to get some goals and I am coming away disappointed to not score one, even two possibly.

Potter's Arsenal verdict

“I thought we played really well in the game – we had the better chances. It’s a disappointed changing room considering we’ve drawn with Arsenal. But you’ve got to take the positives, we matched them and should have won it.

“We dealt with their threats in the game. You’ve got to be aggressive against the top teams – if you give them time and space they’ll hurt you and we didn’t let them do that.”

Albion now head into the international break with 14 points from seven games.

“It’s game-by-game, if you get off to a good start anything can happen in this league. It’s two draws in a row which isn’t ideal, but it was a good point against Palace on Monday and we took a point against Arsenal which isn’t easy. We will kick on after the international break.”
