Yves Bissouma wasn't in the squad to face Crystal Palace on Monday.

Graham Potter's team welcome Arsenal to the Amex on Saturday, as Albion go in search of their fifth win of the Premier League campaign.

Neal Maupay’s last-minute leveller at Selhurst Park on Monday saw Albion go within a point of top spot – currently occupied by Liverpool – with the possibility that three points on Saturday could see Albion go top heading into the international break.

PL Highlights: Crystal Palace 1 Albion 1

Their current tally of 13 points is their best ever Premier League return after six games, while Maupay’s four goals so far this campaign puts him joint top among the scorers.

The Gunners had a disappointing start to the campaign losing three on the bounce without scoring, but they have hit their stride with a trio of wins including a 3-1 victory over arch-rivals Tottenham last Sunday which followed 1-0 victories over Norwich and Burnley.

Defensive stability seems to have been key to their improvement with goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and former Albion defender Ben White key to their improved form.

Team news

Graham Potter said, "Yves Bissouma is making progress but it will be a decision for later on in the week.

"Danny Welbeck is seeing a specialist, while Steven Alzate wont be ready for the weekend."

PL Highlights: Arsenal 2 Albion 0

Albion have enjoyed a fairly decent record against Arsenal during the last four years in the Premier League, winning three and drawing two of the eight fixtures. Last season saw the Gunners won both games 1-0 at the Amex and 2-0 at the Emirates on the final day of the season.

Arsenal player to watch

By Paul Hazlewood
Emile Smith Rowe has played in every Premier League game so far this campaign for Arsenal.

Emile Smith Rowe made his commitment to Arsenal clear by signing a new long-term contract. The 21-year-old’s season came to life on Sunday when he set up one and scored another in the 3-1 victory over Tottenham. The England under-21 international’s form could prove important in the coming months as Mikel Arteta looks to guide his team up the table. Summer signings Takehiro Tomiyasu, who joined the club from Bologna, White and Ramsdale have all impressed in recent weeks.
