Fans that raise £50 or more sponsorship will receive a special ‘Albion Challenge: Amex to Wembley’ medal and those who raise £100 or more will receive a special ‘Albion Challenge: 10 years at the Amex’ t-shirt.

With the Albion celebrating the ten-year anniversary of playing at the American Express Community Stadium there is a stadium-related theme for Albion in the Community’s latest fundraising challenge in honour of this milestone.

If you want to support the club’s official charity, you can sign up to virtually walk the distance between the south-coast stadium and the heart of English football, Wembley.

Fans can decide whether to make the virtual one-way trip of 54 miles, or the return journey of 108 miles and choose to complete the journey by running, swimming, cycling, walking or any non-motorised form of transport.

The challenge takes place between the 4 October and the 31 December, and the 54-mile or 108-mile distances can be divided into multiple journeys. Although, it’s vital for fundraisers to log their progress through the JustGiving Fitness Activity log or photos from any other fitness tracker.

Fans that raise £50 or more sponsorship will receive a special ‘Albion Challenge: Amex to Wembley’ medal and those who raise £100 or more will receive a special ‘Albion Challenge: 10 years at the Amex’ t-shirt.

Mark Barkaway, AITC’s head of marketing and income generation, is delighted to see the Albion Challenge make its return.

“The Albion Challenge is becoming a popular and regular event for fans to have fun, challenge themselves and raise important funds to help support those most in need in our communities.  We’re excited to see fans getting involved between now and the new year and sharing their progress on the road to Wembley.”

Entry to the challenge costs just £8, and this will help AITC continue to do their award-winning and important community work throughout Sussex.
