Taylor Richards was in the matchday squad for Albion's win over Burnley last weekend.

Brighton & Hove Albion are pleased to confirm that midfielder Taylor Richards has signed a new three-year deal with the club.

Head coach Graham Potter said, “Taylor has impressed during pre-season and he was deservedly part of the first-team squad at Burnley last weekend.

“He had a very productive loan spell at Doncaster last season, and this new contract is a reward for his hard work and progress he’s made since he arrived.”

Richards came through the youth ranks with Fulham, before signing for Manchester City when he was 14 years old.

He joined Albion in 2019, going on to make his professional debut in the Carabao Cup later on that year in a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

He spent the 2020/21 season on loan with Doncaster Rovers, where he made 48 appearances, scoring 11 times.
