Graham Potter felt his team were better in the second half against Getafe.

Graham Potter believes Getafe proved to be the ideal opposition for Albion's final pre-season test.

The La Liga outfit scored a goal in each half to win 2-0 at the Amex in front of a crowd of 7091.

Lewis Dunk, Adam Webster and Leandro Trossard all got their first minutes of pre-season and Albion were denied by Getafe goalkeeper David Soria, who made several second-half saves.

Potter said, “It was a good, tough game against a really well organised team – it was the sort of match you want for the final game of pre-season.

“First half was even, but we weren't quite as good as we wanted to be. Credit to them, they had a good shape and were well organised defensively. We were more threatening for sustained periods in the second half.

“The end the result is what it is, but it's pleasing that we get Lewis [Dunk] and Adam [Webster] more time on the pitch. There are things to work on, we will analyse everything and prepare for the game against Burnley.”

Potter was pleased with how Enock Mwepu performed on his Amex bow and the return of Solly March, who missed the second half of last season through injury.

“Enock has got energy in abundance and he brings us that little bit of something different. He can hit the box, can play in numerous positions and he will give us a bit of versatility and some options,. He will get better and we will get better the longer he is here with us.

“Solly has built up well over pre-season. He is in good shape, and he will improve as he builds up the minutes.”
