Peter Godfrey is a non-executive director and vice chairman of the Albion, having joined the board of directors in 2010.

He  is an entrepreneur, founder and chairman of a number of companies, including First Agency, a global experiential creative agency, and a director and chairman of a number of other entities.

In addition, through his own company Godfrey Investments, he manages a portfolio of property and technology industry assets.

Prior to this, he served as president of American Express' Global Network Services Business until 2011.

Peter joined American Express in July 1997 as Regional President of Europe, Middle East & Africa. He held senior appointments at HSBC before this, and was formerly chairman of MasterCard UK and Switch UK.

His work has been recognised by the payments industry (Lifetime Achievement Award) and construction world (Gold Award in Considerate Construction). 

Peter holds a professional squash coaching and a SRA referee qualification, and officiated at the British Squash Open Championships. He has coached, county, international and world-ranking players.

He has also coached football at an amateur level in Kent, and today he enjoys a round of golf or two.

Married with two daughters and four granddaughters, Peter lives in Kent and Sussex.
