Nick Butterworth will join the club in September this year.

Nick has been appointed as the club's new finance and IT director and replaces David Jones, who is retiring at the end of July.

Butterworth, who will join the club in September, is expected to join the club's main board, women's board and become an Albion in the Community trustee in January 2022.

Deputy chairman and chief executive Paul Barber said, "We are delighted that Nick has accepted our offer to join the club to oversee and lead our finance and IT functions.

"Nick has a huge amount of experience across sports, entertainment and finance. He will initially join our executive team which is responsible for the day-to-day running of the club, and after a short period of familiarisation we expect Nick to become a member of the club's main board."

A chartered accountant, Nick is currently head of finance at The O2, owned by global events and venue specialists AEG, and was formerly finance director at rugby club Harlequins FC. He also previously held management roles at Barclays Bank and accountancy firm BDO.
