Fliss Gibbons celebrates after scoring Albion's fourth goal.

Hope Powell felt Albion produced a professional performance in difficult conditions as they reached the quarter-finals of the Vitality FA Cup.

Goals from Danique Kerkdijk (2), Nora Heroum, Rianna Jarrett, Fliss Gibbons and an own goal sealed a 6-0 win over National League outfit Huddersfield Town at the People's Pension Stadium on Sunday.

"We got the job done which was the main thing," said Powell. "Conditions weren't great and I thought we got dragged into an end of season feeling in the first half but we improved in the second half.

"We perhaps took the opposition, with no disrespect, a bit lightly in the first half but then we stepped it up."

Maisie Symonds attacks the visitors' defence

Powell gave starts to goalkeeper Katie Startup, defender Maisie Symonds and forward Hollie Olding and they all impressed.

"At 1-0 Katie made a really good save and I thought her handling in the conditions was really good," said Powell. "Maisie and Hollie acquitted themselves well and it was good for them to get minutes under their belt and experience.

"The goals were shared around and Megan Connolly got some minutes after her injury which was another positive for us.

"I must give credit to Huddersfield. They tired a bit towards the end but they kept going and tried to play."
