Graham Potter wants Albion to secure their Premier League status with a win tomorrow.

Albion need no more motivation for their match at Molineux on Sunday than the knowledge a win will see them playing Premier League football next season, according to Graham Potter.

Ten points clear of the bottom three with four games to play has given Albion some breathing space, but until they're mathematically safe Potter doesn't want his side to let up in their efforts.

“I've only got an economics A-level so that's the limit of my maths, but our motivation is simple – win the game and finish the job ourselves.

“It would give us back-to-back Premier League wins and improve our points tally. We have many reasons to go up there and get the job done.

“There’s a feeling of positivity in the squad and we want to finish the season as well as we can. We're not mathematically safe and we want to carry on fighting.

Potter's Wolves press conference

“We don't want to rely on anyone else, we want to get the points ourselves. That's where the focus will be at the weekend.”

The 2-0 win over Leeds United last weekend proved to be huge in pulling away from danger, with Danny Welbeck's classy performance topped off with a goal of real quality.

“He's in a really good moment,” Potter said of his striker. “He’s enjoying his football and in training he looks like he’s an 18-year-old influencing the game and training well. His enjoyment is the most important thing.”

Asked about Welbeck’s Albion future beyond this season Potter added: “We will sit down at the end of the season and try and find the right solution, but for me as a head coach it's about him enjoying his football. Does he feel comfortable here? Does he enjoy it? Are we getting the best out of him? If the answer is yes, then there’s a good chance in the summer we can find the right solution.”
