Brighton & Hove Albion and Albion in the Community (AITC) are delighted to have received a nomination each for the prestigious 2021 Football Business Awards.
The club are one of nine Premier League clubs nominated in the Covid-19 Best Community Response category, with AITC one of eight shortlisted for the Best Football Community Scheme.
The Albion As One campaign, which was launched a year ago, raised more than £400,000 for local charities and community groups in 2020, having been kicked off by a sizeable six-figure donation from the men’s first-team playing squad.
Among other initiatives, the club also donated 1000 match tickets to local NHS workers; opened up the Amex as a Covid-19 testing centre and launched a bespoke home shirt thanking NHS staff and other key workers;
