Striker Reda Khadra has signed a new contract with Albion until June 2023.

The 19-year-old joined the club last October from Borussia Dortmund, where he played in their under-16s, 17s and 18s as well as representing Germany at under-18 level.

As well as making several appearances for the club’s under-23s, Khadra made his Premier League debut in January as a substitute against Manchester City.

Technical director Dan Ashworth said, “We’re delighted Reda has agreed this new contract so he can continue his development with us.

Reda Khadra joined Albion in October 2020.

“He has been unfortunate to pick up an injury after making some great progress with us, but I know he was really pleased to make his Premier League debut in January.

"We’re sure there is a lot more to come from Reda and we look forward to helping him to achieve his potential.”

Khadra has featured regularly for the under-23s this season.

Interim joint-head coach Shannon Ruth said, “Reda has really worked hard since he came to the club and we were delighted for him that he had the opportunity to make his Premier League debut against Manchester City.

“He’s now recovering from his injury and having this new contract will give him the opportunity to push on and keep improving.

"He’s got a really good work ethic and a real desire to get better and better. We’re looking forward to working with him further.”
