Graham Potter believes Ben White will continue to florush at the highest level after another good experience against Manchester United on Sunday.

The defender came up against an in-form Luke Shaw, as well as Bruno Fernandes and fellow England internationals Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood at Old Trafford.

The Albion boss was happy with how his man fared against that calibre of opponent.

He said, “Ben did really well in the game, he’s got incredible physicality and real courage on the ball.

“To defend against those types of players is always difficult because he had lots of decisions to make in the game.

“But he’ll learn from all of those experiences against some fantastic attacking players and keep getting better."

Potter also reserved praise for the duo of Pascal Gross and Jakub Moder, with the pair deployed on either flank for the visitors.

“Both acquitted themselves really well, as they did against Newcastle the other week.

“We’ve essentially played the last two-and-a-half games with three defenders so the way the guys have managed that has been really good.

“Against a top-quality team in terms of chances they didn’t have too many which tells us we did okay, although not enough to get a result unfortunately."
