Albion players head off on international duty

Seven players called up for friendlies in latest international break.

Cecilie Fiskerstrand is on international duty with Norway this week.

Seven Albion players headed off to represent their countries this week during the final women’s international break of the season.

Inessa Kaagman, who scored her seventh goal of the season in Sunday’s 1-0 WSL win over Manchester United, has linked up with Holland for a friendly against Spain in Marbella on Friday and a home match against Australia in Nijmegen four days later. Albion defender Danique Kerkdijk is on standby for the Dutch squad.

Goalkeeper Cecilie Fiskerstrand is with Norway for friendlies against Belgium in Brussels on Thursday and Germany in Wiesbaden next Tuesday.

Nora Heroum is with the Finland squad for two friendlies.

Finnish pair Nora Heroum and Emma Koivisto hope to get game time in a friendly against Austria while Kayleigh Green is in camp with Wales this week. Their schedule includes home friendlies against Canada on Friday and Denmark next Tuesday.

Finally, Ireland have named Rianna Jarrett and Megan Connolly in their squad for a training camp and friendlies against Denmark in Dublin on Thursday and Belgium in Brussels next Sunday.

Albion’s next game is a Vitality FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Bristol City on April 18.
