Four of Inessa Kaagman's five goals for Albion have come at home.

Inessa Kaagman says Albion can look upwards after her two goals sealed a third successive WSL win.

The Dutch international made it five goals for the season – four of them at home - in Sunday's 2-0 win over Tottenham and Albion will have sixth-placed Reading in their sights when they return to action on Wednesday week against Aston Villa.

She said, “We're in a much better position now, the three wins have made a big difference but we need to keep going, we want to look up the table and compete with the likes of Reading and Everton who are above us, we have done well but we know we can do better.

“For me personally it's nice to have five goals but I haven't set any target for the rest of the season. I don't mind who gets the goals as long as we win.”

Hope Powell's team have been transformed since losing 3-0 to bottom club Bristol City at the end of January and Kaagman says unity in the squad helped bring about the improvement.

“After the Bristol game we were quite sad and we changed things. As a group we are really together and when that is the case you can be honest with each other and say what has to said and do what needed to be done.

“Sunday was a tight game. Sometimes we didn't win the second ball but the longer the game went on the better we got and we took our chances. We defended like lions, at the end we had people literally lying down on the line to protect the goal which just shows the togetherness and spirit we have as a group.”
