The head coach wants his team to continue the momentum of recent weeks.

Despite Albion's good results in recent weeks, head coach Graham Potter doesn't want to see his players relax their efforts.

On an unbeaten run of five in the top-tier – of which three were victories – Albion have moved ten points clear of 18th place Fulham, but Potter believes it means little at this stage of the campaign.

“I don't sense any breathing space, in this league you have got to keep going all the time. You can't worry about what the other teams are doing.

“You have got to look at yourself and what you can do to improve the team, look at the next game and keep it quite simple.

“You know that every game in this league is so difficult and you have to approach it in that way, to try and get a positive result in every match.”

Extended PL Highlights: Burnley 1 Albion 1

Albion's unbeaten run continued at Burnley on Saturday, although the Albion head coach conceded his side looked tired as they drew 1-1.

“We saw a bit of fatigue. It's not just a game itself, it's the psychological and the mental impact - the travel involved coming back from Liverpool late and going back up to Turf Moor the next day.

“If there's any game that's going to bring you back down to earth, it's an away match in early February up in Burnley. But that's sport at the highest level and we all have to face that challenge.

It’s a factor that I have to consider when selecting the team and remember the players are human beings. You have to take into consideration that the guys want to play, but at the same time you have got to make sure that they’re in the right state to perform because at this level, unless you push yourself to the maximum, it’s hard to win.”
