Brighton & Hove Albion’s Irish midfielder Richie Towell will join the EFL’s newest club Salford City, agreeing a two-year contract with the Greater Manchester club.
The 27-year-old joined Albion from Dundalk midway through the 2015/16 season, but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Rotherham in League One and the Championship.
His current contract with the club ends this summer on the 30th June.
Albion chief executive Paul Barber commented, “Richie’s opportunities were limited during his time with us, but his professionalism and attitude throughout that time was first class.
“On behalf of the club, I would like to thank him for his service and wish him all the very best for his future.”
