Brighton & Hove Albion under-18 duo Teddy Jenks and Haydon Roberts have been called up to the England U17 squad for the UEFA European U17 Championship finals this week.
The pair will join up with Steve Cooper’s squad for the tournament in Ireland, facing France, Netherlands and Sweden in the initial group stages.
Jenks has made eight U18 Premier League appearances this term, as well turning out three times for Simon Rusk’s under-23 side in Premier League 2 Division 1.
Roberts has been equally involved with the under-18 side this season and has made nine appearances for the under-23s – both also played key roles in the under-18s' FA Youth Cup run, which saw the side reach the fifth round stage before a defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.
The young Three Lions will face France at the City Calling Stadium in Longford on Friday 3rd May, before taking on the Netherlands at Tolka Park in Dublin three days later.
The group stage ends with a game against Sweden at Whitehall Stadium in Dublin on Thursday 9th May.
Fans can watch a live stream of the match with France on Friday over on UEFA.tv’s YouTube channel.
