Brighton & Hove Albion captain Bruno is wary of going toe-to-toe against a side with Arsenal’s quality, and encouraged his team-mates to prevent Unai Emery’s team from playing to their strengths.
Bruno spoke about the north Londoners’ quick passing style of play and explained the importance of putting in another defensively resolute display.
He said, "They’ve got some really good quality and it’s going to be a tough game for us.
“If you get too close to them, then you can get caught out by the one-twos they do so well with [Alexandre] Lacazette, who sends a lot of balls to [Mesut] Ozil, [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang and [Henrik] Mkhitaryan.
“It’s our job to show these players where we want them to go. We know they are very good between the lines, so we need to stop them doing that, and try to play our game.
“Lately we’ve played quite defensively to protect what we’ve got to get points. We're a team that’s in our second season in the Premier League, and at the end of the day, one point can make a big difference."
Bruno also spoke about working under Emery during his time at Valencia, and is confident that his compatriot will be a success at the Emirates.
“I worked with him for five years, and I know quite a lot about him. He’s doing a great job and now they’re playing really good football.
“He’s trying to change their mentality, and you can see his work on their formations. They’ve been changing them, and he needs time to get the players he needs.
“It has been quite a successful season for them and I feel it will get even better in the future.”
