Brighton & Hove Albion winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh says there is plenty more to come from him after an impressive display in Saturday’s 1-0 victory against Huddersfield Town.
Jahanbakhsh played 78 minutes against the Terriers, and now is eager to contribute regularly with assists and goals.
He said, "I felt really good. I was fit, with good confidence, but still I don't think that's my best performance to be honest.
"The fans haven't seen my best yet. I was close to scoring a goal, but as long as I don't score, don't give assists, that is obviously not my best game.
"That's what I am looking for."
The winger spoke about the Huddersfield game in more detail and hailed the significance of the result against the Terriers.
"We knew how important the game was. It was very crucial, with the position we are in. We knew if we didn't get the three points it could be difficult in the upcoming games and weeks.
"We played a really good game with a stable first half, and in the second half we created some good chances and got the three points, which were all that mattered."
Jahanbakhsh looked ahead to Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace, after missing the memorable 3-1 victory over the Eagles in this season’s reverse fixture at the Amex.
"We did a great job in the last game. It was a great performance from the lads that night, and I know how important these games are for the fans.
"It's going to be a difficult game there, but we are going to do our best to get the three points.
"It is one of the most important games for the fans and we always play for them, to make them happy, to feel better.
"Now I know more about English fans, our fans especially. They are amazing.
"Above how important the game is for that reason, is the points. It's a double meaning if we do something good there."
