Barber Re-elected To Fa Council And Professional Game Board

06 June 2019

Brighton & Hove Albion chief executive and deputy chairman Paul Barber has been re-elected to both The FA Council and Professional Game Board as a Premier League representative.

The election took place at the Premier League shareholders’ annual summer meeting in Harrogate yesterday, which Barber attended with Albion chairman Tony Bloom.

It will be Barber’s second successive year as a Premier League representative on The FA Council and Professional Game Board (PGB), both of which provide governance and help to shape the professional game in England.

Barber was previously elected to the FA Council and PGB by EFL Championship clubs for both 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons.

Bloom said, “We are extremely proud that Paul has once again been elected to these prestigious positions in English football.

“It reaffirms his professional standing amongst the other clubs in the Premier League, and clearly demonstrates their faith in his ability and understanding of the game.”

Barber added, “I am delighted and honoured to be re-elected to represent the clubs in the Premier League and I look forward to serving on both The FA Council and PGB in the season ahead.”
