Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-18s were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal at London Colney on Saturday.
 
Ryan Longman gave Albion the lead in the 44th minute after being teed up by Danny Cashman, and the former twisted and turned on the edge of the box before firing home.
 
Folarin Balogun had a chance to equalise for the Gunners, but his header was saved by Roco Rees in the Albion goal.
 
Sam Greenwood levelled the scores for the hosts in the 55th minute after Rees saved Matt Smith’s initial shot, and the former finished from a yard out.
 
Arsenal turned the game on its head courtesy of Ben Cottrell in the 66th minute, as he fired past Rees from close range.
 
Miguel Ayeez added a third for the Gunners with five minutes remaining, as he found the bottom left corner with a first-time finish from Vontae Daley-Campbell’s pass.
