15 February 2019

Patrick Sullivan
The pre-match brief for Albion v Derby County.
Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Derby County to the Amex in an Emirates FA Cup fifth round tie on Saturday 16th February, kick-off 12.30pm. The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport and VAR will be in use.

If the scores are still level after 90 minutes, the match will go to extra
time and potentially penalties.

The match sponsors for this fixture are Fielder and the ball sponsors are Snickers UK.

As a tribute to former England goalkeeper, Gordon Banks, who sadly passed away this week, there will be a minute’s applause before kick-off.

Supporters are reminded that if they opted to print their tickets at home for this match, these must be presented at the turnstiles.

Attached to your ticket confirmation email is a PDF document for each ticket that you have purchased. These PDF documents are your match tickets.

You will need to open each PDF, print it and bring it with you. Please note, if you have purchased more than four tickets, you will receive the PDF documents over multiple emails. Your print at home ticket must be:

  • Printed on white A4 paper
  • Printed on one sheet of A4 per ticket
  • Printed with good quality black ink – the barcode that is scanned at the turnstile must be printed clearly (not smudged or faded)

All supporters are asked to head to the stadium as early as possible regardless of how they are travelling.

Trains: Southern Rail have informed the club that services to and from Falmer will be enhanced both pre and post-match.

Please note that there will be a bus replacement service operating between Three Bridges and both Lewes and Brighton respectively due to the Brighton Mainline Improvement project (16th-24th Feb).

Park & Rides: Both Brighton Racecourse & Mill Road will be open from 9.30am.

Car Parks: All parking at both the Bridge (Car Park B) and at Sussex University (Car Park C) has now sold out, and there will be no cash sales on the day.

All seasonal and 1901 Club members who have parking accreditation to park at the University of Sussex, need to be aware that the University has its Applicants Day from 9am onwards, therefore we have managed to keep car parks 2, 3, 4, & 5 as normal; however, car park 1 is going to be used by visitors attending the Applicants Day event.

To compensate the loss of car park 1, we have exclusive use of the multi-storey car park in Arts Road (please see map below).

All vehicles accredited to park at the University of Sussex must enter via Stanmer Park, as there will be no entry at Falmer or Knights Gate.

Village Way will be extremely busy and congested, and supporters are advised to avoid this area both pre and post-match, unless they have pre-booked parking.

Buses: Brighton & Hove Buses will be operating a full Saturday service within our Travel Scheme, therefore free travel is available to supporters on production of a match ticket, but please check on the club’s website, for areas within the bus travel scheme.

Parking: We have no local street parking available for football supporters, as all areas have a residents' parking scheme in operation, and enforcement officers will be on patrol.

Seagull Travel: Seagull Travel will be running their usual matchday services from various locations, and spaces are available to pre-book via their website.

Drop-offs & Pick-ups: There will be no pick-ups or drop-offs along Village Way, or at the Woollard Way (entrance to the Bridge car park), and supporters are advised to use our official drop-off and pick up point located at University of Sussex, where our drop-off point is in Car Park 5, located by the Sports Hall.

This drop-off/pick-up point is a short walk through the underpass to the Amex Stadium. There is also a free shuttle bus in operation.

1901 Club Lounge Dress Code

We would like to take this opportunity to remind members that the dress code for the 1901 Club is smart business attire for all guests, male and female.

Acceptable attire includes smart jeans, smart boots, clean trainers and canvas shoes.

Please note that ripped jeans, shorts and flip-flops are not permitted. Hospitality guests dining in either restaurant will still be required to wear shoes; trainers will not be permitted in dining areas.

Men must wear a collared shirt or polo shirt. Football shirts, polo-neck and turtleneck sweaters are not acceptable.

Only guests aged under 14 may wear Brighton & Hove Albion replica shirts. Away team colours or shirts are not permitted under any circumstances. Please ensure your guests are aware of and adhere to the dress code as entry will not be permitted if they are not dressed accordingly.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to reseat 1901 Club members or their guests in general admission areas of the stadium if refused admission to the 1901 Club.

Prohibited Items

In light of recent high-profile incidents where a range of items – including capped water bottles – have been thrown onto the pitch at a number of matches around the country, we are reminding all Brighton & Hove Albion and visiting supporters that bottles with tops on them are prohibited at the Amex Stadium.

Our stewards will be strictly enforcing this policy, and bottle tops will also be removed from drinks sold inside the stadium.

The full list of prohibited items can be found here.
