Albion Announce Rtc Open Trial Dates

18 February 2019

Brighton & Hove Albion’s girls’ FA Regional Talent Club (RTC) are holding open trials ahead of the new 2019/20 season.

The club is inviting aspiring young footballers the chance to try out to become part of their RTC, with the potential for them to become part of the next generation of Albion’s women players.

In April 2016, The FA awarded Brighton & Hove Albion RTC tier 1 status, the highest level currently available in terms of the delivery of elite girls’ football development.  Only 12 other clubs within the country hold this status.

Several Albion RTC players have selected for England national performance camps, as the club continues to develop and nurture the talent of players up through the footballing pathway.

Women’s and girls’ general manager, Kirsty Hulland, said, “Brighton & Hove Albion’s FA Girls’ Regional Talent Club offers an elite environment to girls from the under-10s through to the under-16s.

“As a club we are committed to developing home grown players, which is representative of our entire player pathway, from our RTC through to the women’s first-team, which also runs alongside the international pathway.

“On the pitch, we offer highly qualified and experienced coaches, alongside player support inclusive of physiotherapists, sport therapists, strength & conditioning coaches and performance psychologists.

“Off the pitch, it is important that we are person centric and not just player orientated, providing extensive player welfare support alongside lifestyle workshops and promoting a dual-career approach.”

The club will be running a two-stage trial process for all age groups, including the under-10s, under-12s, under-14s and under-16s, at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.

Confirmation of exact dates and timings will be in due course and dependent upon the volume of applications.

To be eligible for the open trials, players should live within a 90 minute travelling radius of the American Express Elite Performance Centre.

Dates for the opening stage of trials take place on the week commencing Monday 10th June 2019 through to Thursday 13th June 2019.
